I did paper delivery for the Houston Post (a newspaper) and then worked at a hot dog shop through high school.
What do you want your legacy to be?
[I want my legacy to be that I] promoted the credit union movement and made a positive impact on members’ and their families’ lives.
What career advice would you give to your teenage self?
Work smart and continue to learn.
What's an issue currently facing your industry an outside observer might not be aware of?
Keeping up with how consumers want to handle their financial needs (utilizing technology but remaining personable).
What was the toughest lesson you’ve learned in your career?
Expect and count on change.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
What a Wonderful World.
If you had to live in another country for a year, which would you choose and why?
Japan. I would love to witness their culture on a daily basis. Respect, harmony, high self-expectations contribute to the growth of the community and sustain tradition.
What work event are you excited about in the next few months?
We're excited about the grand opening of our North Las Vegas Branch.

What's your favorite thing about living in Nevada?
My wife and family love Nevada. We see some season changes that we didn't get to experience in Texas. We love the environment to grow cactus, close to mountains for snow and a four-hour drive to California beaches.
